AV Fair

On Monday the 24th we went to the Antelope Valley Fair with Gramps and Uncle Clint.

Addison had a wonderful time. She pet a chick, fed some animals and had some corn on the cob.

The week before school started I had big plans to get my room set up before the weekend. I did get most of it done, but I visited a lot with my friends that I had not seen most of the summer.

I of course took Addison over with me. She mostly played. She must have been watching me put up the bulletin boards, because she picked up a boarder and tried putting it on the wall. I handed her a small stapler and she went right to work.

Addison's first haircut!

Today we went to get Addison's hair cut. It keeps falling in her face and I thought a haircut might help. She took a little off. Addison just sat there and let the lady cut her hair. Addison did a great job!

Climbing to the Top

On July 28th Addison and I went to the Bounce Palace with Auntie Gaby and Isabella. This was Addison's second time and her confidence was a lot better than the last time we went. She even stood up and bounced. On one of the slides she would climb up and then slide down. There is a really tall slide, Addison decided she needed to climb up. She climbed up the stairs about 1/2 way the first time. The next time she went all the way up to the top. Once up there she decided the slide was too high (thank goodness). The only bad thing is she was stuck. That meant that I had to climb up and "save" her.

The good thing about a big girl bed!

Last night, or I could say early this morning Addison woke up and called for me at 3:30 A.M. She might have just been having a dream and was talking in her sleep, but I am not one to deny my daughter when she calls for me. I was able to just crawl into bed and snuggle.

I snuggled with her for a while and thought it would be a cute picture. I went to get my camera and took the picture. She was blinded by the flash and it woke her up. We went to the computer and surfed a little. Then we went back to bed, as I was putting her back down she said she had to pee. Now part of me was like just go in your diaper, but the part of me that wants her out of diapers screamed LET HER GO! So I helped her take off her PJ bottoms and we went into the bathroom. She pee peed in the potty. Yeah!! Just wish it was not at 4 something in the morning!

Sunday July 26th we spent our afternoon in the ER. Addison we think fell out of bed and hit her head on her toy box. I was going to get her but Jon got her first. When he brought her in she had blood on the back of her shirt. I told him and he went into the other room and looked at it. He saw it and said we are going to the ER. Addison was really good and did not cry too much. She was even pretty good waiting to see the DR. I think it was more traumatic on her parents than it was on her.

I woke her up every few hours like the paperwork said, but was not too sure how she normally acts. I do not wake her up in the middle of the night normally. The first few times she just wanted to go back to sleep, which I would think is normal. At 4:30 I heard her fuss a little, so I went and got her. I put her in bed with us and she acted like she normally does, she wanted to play. She slept in a little today, but she did not go to bed till really late.
