The good thing about a big girl bed!

Last night, or I could say early this morning Addison woke up and called for me at 3:30 A.M. She might have just been having a dream and was talking in her sleep, but I am not one to deny my daughter when she calls for me. I was able to just crawl into bed and snuggle.

I snuggled with her for a while and thought it would be a cute picture. I went to get my camera and took the picture. She was blinded by the flash and it woke her up. We went to the computer and surfed a little. Then we went back to bed, as I was putting her back down she said she had to pee. Now part of me was like just go in your diaper, but the part of me that wants her out of diapers screamed LET HER GO! So I helped her take off her PJ bottoms and we went into the bathroom. She pee peed in the potty. Yeah!! Just wish it was not at 4 something in the morning!

Addison's first big owie.

Sunday July 26th we spent our afternoon in the ER. Addison we think fell out of bed and hit her head on her toy box. I was going to get her but Jon got her first. When he brought her in she had blood on the back of her shirt. I told him and he went into the other room and looked at it. He saw it and said we are going to the ER. Addison was really good and did not cry too much. She was even pretty good waiting to see the DR. I think it was more traumatic on her parents than it was on her.

I woke her up every few hours like the paperwork said, but was not too sure how she normally acts. I do not wake her up in the middle of the night normally. The first few times she just wanted to go back to sleep, which I would think is normal. At 4:30 I heard her fuss a little, so I went and got her. I put her in bed with us and she acted like she normally does, she wanted to play. She slept in a little today, but she did not go to bed till really late.

KaBoom and running!

On Thursday, July 23rd we went to a Jet Hawks game. It was the first one that we had been to this year. Addison had a good time. She is still a little afraid of KaBoom. She would point him out, but if you asked her if she wanted to see him she said, "No." They have this thing where children can run across the Field between the top and the bottom of the eighth inning. Of course we took Addison, she had fun. She kept saying, "Fun!"

Addison's 2nc Birthday party!

We had a great time. Jon took the day off and we hung out. Means we got things ready for Addison's party.

We had hamburgers, hot dogs, and Grandpa made brats. We just had it at our house this year. I was a low key party, but it was fun! I think Addison enjoyed herself.

Big Girl Bed!

Addison is now sleeping in a big girl bed.

We have had the bed for a while, since before Wick's went out of business. We saw it one day and were like we will come back for this bed, and then a few months later saw that they were going out of business. So we had to buy the bed. It has baseball bats on the head/foot board and 2 baseballs on the headboard.

We did go to get a mattress, but the store was out. We put up the bed and put her crib inside the frame of the bed. I think this might have helped with the transition from the crib to the bed. There was some fussing when we were putting up the bed, but that was because we were focused on the bed and not her. Jon called Clint over to help, so I could calm Addison down.

On Sunday the 12th we got the mattress and put it on her bed. That night she slept on the bed. I think she would have slept through the night on the bed, but she was having tummy issues. She ended up in our bed for the rest of the night.

On the 13th she slept through the night and woke up at 10 (might be because I think it was after 9 when she finally got to bed).

The 14th was a little bit of a different story. I woke up at 12 to her crying. I went in and comforted her. She went back to sleep. At 4, I heard a weird noise coming from her room. I went in to investigate and she was getting books. Jon thinks that the midnight fall was because she was trying to climb back into bed. I think this might be true.

The thing that really had me worried were naps. I was afraid she would not take naps in the bed. These fears have been unfounded, so far. She has taken a nap everyday in her bed without a problem!

I think Addison has adjusted well to her big girl bed!

Is 2 years old!

Where does the time go. It just seems like yesterday I was in the hospital holding my newborn baby! Now she can walk and talk. She is such a joy to have around. She does have her meltdown moments, but I would hate to have a perfect baby (she will always be my baby).

She is a love bug. Most of the time she will give you a kiss and a hug with a pat if you ask nicely. Sometimes she stops what she is doing and will pucker up for a kiss, and if you do not see the pucker up she will say, "I kiss." When she had given a kiss she will say the same thing. She will also say, "I hug and I pat" after she has given a hug with a pat. It makes my heart melt just thinking about it.

Addison is a Daddy's Girl. Sometimes when I am hanging out with her she will say, "Daddy" or "I love Daddddddy!" The last one I will ask her what about Mommy and she will say, "I love Mommy and Daddy." I love to just sit back and listen to them interact. That is another thing that melts my heart and makes me fall in love with Jon all over again!

We are starting to go potty on the potty. She has pee peed in the poty twice. It is a work in progress, and I will let her do it in her own time!

Addison I love you and am happy you are in my life!

Helping out.

Addison loves to help. When we have dinner, she likes to help set the table. She even likes to help do the laundry! 6/28/09
